Cade's Birthday!!

All week I have been doing this camp called cake boss. I learned a lot! Cade's birthday was yesterday and I got to make his cake and my sister got to make his cupcakes. All I did was I made two nine inch vanilla cakes ( box kind ). I iced them with the buttercream icing I learned how to make at cake boss. It is real simple, all you do is add a whole bag of powdered sugar, a half cup of crisco, and about a half cup of water/milk. You can also use butter instead of crisco to make it actually buttercream. Then I dyed the icing green and iced the whole cake a mint green. Since he was having a dinosaur themed birthday I made him a dinosaur cake. I took some of his toy dinosaurs and washed them and put them on the cake with some gummy eggs. It was supposed to be as if the big dinosaur was eating the little one because the little one was trying to take the other dino's eggs. Here's a picture:

My Fabulous Turkey!

This weekend I went turkey hunting with my granddad ( Papa Dirt ). Last week we went hunting for about 12 hours. We saw this huge gobbler! I got so excited, I closed the wrong eye. I missed the turkey. I was so mad! So this weekend we got to go again. We woke up at 5:37, exact. We were out there for about 2 hours and we saw about about 60 hens and 9 gobblers. They got so close I thought I could touch it. I shot the first one I saw and............ POW!! Got him right in the head! Here's a picture:

AMAZING CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

This weekend I decided I had a craving for some chocolate chip cookies. So I was flipping threw some cook books and a finally found some. They are called Chockfull-of- Chips Cookies. If you would like to make one all you need is:

  1 cup all purpose flour
  1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  1/4  teaspoon salt
  1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  1/2 cup granulated sugar
  1 egg
  3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

So, you start out by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next line two baking sheets with aluminum foil. Then, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir the ingredients with a fork until well blended. In a larger bowl, combine butter, shortening, granulated and brown sugar. Blend with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.  Add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing. Add the flour mixture after it is well blended. Now use the rubber spatula to stir until it is mixed. Pour in the chocolate chips and make sure everything is blended well. Scoop cookies on covered baking sheets about 1-2 inches apart. Only put one baking sheet at a time and bake each for 12-14 minutes. Cool for ten minutes. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week. This recipe makes 36 cookies.

Hey, so today I was talking to my babysitter and we decided to make something and we started looking threw The Kids Cookbook. We found these buttery pecan cookies. Here's how to make one:

You need:

1 cup of room temperature butter
2/3 cup of sugar
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans

First, you combine the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Then blend with the electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Srape the sides a couple of times. Add the flour and nuts. Continue mixing until it looks like little pebbles. Squeeze the dough together to form a ball. Put it in plastic wrap and roll into a log. Last refrigerate for 3 hours.

Preheat oven to 350. Cut it into cookie size pieces. Place cookies on a baking sheet covered in aluminum foil. Bake for 15 min. After they are finished, take the aluminum foil with the cookies on it and place on a cooling rake. When completly cooled, place in a airtight container.

I hope you like them as much as i do!!! ;)  Here's a picture of my cookies:

Hey, Merry Christmas!! I can't belive that 2012 is almost over! Well, anyways as you know my favorite time to cook is on Christmas. At school we are having a Christmas program and party. For the party I was asked to bring a sweet. So, I will be blogging about that, and I also made Thanksgiving cupcakes that I will be blogging about.

First, I will tell you how to make the cupcakes.
   You will need:
cupcakes ( any flavor)
bag of candy corn
mini vanilla wafers
chocolate sprinkles
Twizzelers
black decors gel
white icing
chocolate icing

First, ice the cupcake with chocolate icing. Then take a whole vanilla wafer and put it on the middle. Take another vanilla wafer and cut it in half. Put it on the sides of the whole one as wings. Stick candy corn in the back as feathers. ( 5-8 pieces). Cut the white part off of the candy corn and use it as the beak. Put a strip of white icing on the beak and pull a 1 inch piece of twizzler of and stick it like glue.  Last put a dot of white icing on the head and put a black dot of decors gel on top. Repeat this proccess for many cupcakes.......... ENJOY!!!!!

Second I will tell you how to make the donut snowmen.
   You will need:
a donut
candy corn
 chocolate icing

These are very simple. All you do is stick a piece of candy corn in the middle as a nose and
use chocolate icing as eyes and a mouth.

Next take two eggs and crack them on a hot greased pan. ( make sure you keep the egg together on the pan). After that you take two pieces of toasted  sour dough bread  and spread mayonaise on it. Last pile everything together on the bread. And............. ENJOY! My dad loved it but I didnt think it looked very good.

Breakfast and Cupcakes

Hey, sorry I didn't blog on the 9th. We stayed up until 12:00 watching Courageous. It was a very good movie. Well, the 3rd was my parents 17th anniversery. So I got up at 6:30 making breakfast. I had my very own menu. I made a poster called MACY'S DINER. The poster said, Were magic happens in your mouth. I also traced all of our hands and put, Made with hands of love....... I made cinnomon rolls, oven cooked bacon, omelets, and linned with strawberries. I baked the cinnomon rolls from the container directions. The bacon I baked at 350 for about 30-45 min. The omlets I blogged about them earlyer. So if you want to try that you can. Oh, and heres a picture. Not a very good one because it was on my ipod and not my computer.

Next, I made cupcakes for a birthday party. So first you go to the store and buy your favorite kind of cake mix and blend that together. Then put that in your cupcake holders and bake. Then cool completly, before icing them. For the icing take 3 cups confections sugar and 1 cup butter and whisk with a blender on low until blended and then increase for 3 min. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 1/2 tablespoons of whipping cream. Continue to beat for 1 min. and adding more whipping cream if nessasary. I covered the cupcakes in regular icing then used leftovers and colored it with food coloring and decorated. I hope you like them!!!!! ( I didn't have a picture because my mom took a picture on her big camera.)

                                                                                                              Love,
                                                                                                                   Macy the great!

My Breakfast Menu!!!!!

Hey, what is your favorite meal of the day? Mine is BREAKFAST!!!! I love it because I usually get to cook it. So this Saturday I cooked breakfast for my family. I made a fruit bowl, omelets, biscuits, and bacon.  You can learn how to make the omelet on a previous blog. For the biscuits, get your favorite brand of biscuits and fix them. Bacon, get tour favorite, but cook it in the oven. Get a pan with edges up so the grease doesn't fall out. Put the bacon on the pan, put don't let the bacon touch. Set the oven on 350*. Bake until crispy. Fruit bowl, do the same. Get all your favorite fruit and cut it up. Put on a toothpick. Enjoy!!
